The Hunters Palette (''c''. 3100 B.C.E.) (also known as the Lion Hunt Palette) is an Ancient Egyptian cosmetic palette showing a complex iconographic lion hunt as well as other animals. The hunt includes birds, desert hares, and gazelle-types; one gazelle is being contained by a rope. The weapons used in the 20-man hunt are the bow and arrow, mace clubs, throwing sticks, and spears. Two icongraphic conjoined bull-forefronts adorn the upper right alongside a hieroglyphic-like symbol, (similar to the ''sanctuary of Lower Egypt''.〔Wikimedia Commons: "Sanctuary of Lower Egypt"). ()〕 The palette is broken: part is held by the British Museum and part is in the collection of the Louvre.
